Do hygienists bill insurance?

This will depend on which office that you got to.  Most insurance companies will let dental hygienists bill for their sevices, however some do not.  Because insurance is complicated, it is best to talk to your hygienist and find out about your policy.

 

What if I have a cavity?

If you have any dental treatment needs, your hygienist will refer you for an exam and treatment.  
If you do not have a dentist, your hygienist can help you find one.  It is recommended that you see a dentist for an exam on an annual basis.
